About The Author

After receiving a BA degree in English Literature in Mumbai, Tanuja Chandra completed a Master of Fine Arts degree in film direction and writing in the USA. She returned to India and directed shows and films for television, after which, she co-wrote the screenplay and dialogues for Mahesh Bhatt’s films Zakhm and Tamanna and co-wrote Yash Chopra’s Dil Toh Pagal Hai.
She began directing feature films in 1998 with Dushman and made Sangharsh, Sur and the English-language film Hope and a Little Sugar, among others. Her films have received awards in various categories and her English film received recognition in international film festivals. Through her career, she has regularly written articles for newspapers and magazines on social subjects, current topics and film.
