Description:

Ketan Mehta, a 21 yr old guitarist from St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai has got everything which most of his mates yearn to have- a rich dad, a sweet girl who is in love with him and a glitzy lifestyle! Still he hates being there in Mumbai. Of late he has found himself in a schizophrenic love affair with Patna and he would do anything to be there. One fine evening he runs away from his palatial mansion to explore his roots in the city of his dreams, to rekindle the ties with his family back in Patna. And thus begins the tryst with the city of his dream! However Patna treats Ketan differently he soon finds himself amongst dreaded educational mafias of the city. He explores the murky underbelly of the city where “engineering” and ” doctory” has become a business.Ketan finds him self in love with the “Lady in blue Salwar- Kameez’ from Patna Women’s College. She forgets to tell him about one of her time-pass boy friends whom she had dumped and that he is the son of the most feared politician. The hand that played the guitar soon gets into breaking the skull of Sonu Singh the local “Patna ka Presley”, who has nothing but his father’s might to flaunt.City City, Bang Bang is a comedy of illogical errors, of stubborn prejudices and a poignant relationship of a Mumbaikar with Patna- a city not at the best of terms with Mumbai.

City City Bang Bang is the story about Karen Mehta, who is studying in St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai has got everything which most of his mates yearn to have- a rich dad, a sweet girl who is in love with him and a glitzy lifestyle! But it was not enough for him. He always wanted to explore Patan (His family is situated in Patan). The story-line of the novel is bit unrealistic but the concept is different. It was just amazing to read the protagonist, Ketan’s poignant romance with a city. Kshitiz, has magnificently painted the entire small town feel in the pages.
