This is a must-read novel for all mystery and romance lovers alike. Within a few pages into the story, I was completely immersed. The book drove me to an inquisitiveness of what would happen next. It had a plethora of complex characters, with each one popping alive from the book. I just lived the life of the strong protagonist Tara Khanolkar. The male protagonist Sarang was absolutely amazing. Every girl would love her dream guy to be like him. The other supporting characters were also given ample scope. It had an intriguing plot of mystery woven with the right amount of romance. The way in which the author Manjiri Prabhu takes the plot is something to be appreciated. She makes you completely believe at something and then we find that we were cleverly deceived when the twists come up. That’s something only an excellent author can achieve! I am unable to start reading another novel since I want to dwell in Kesarli, Mahabaleshwar, Panchgani and the Rajwada for some more time (places from the book). I feel a strong urge to visit these places after Manjiri’s vivid and poetic descriptions about them. No wonder she is dubbed as Desi Agatha Christie. I felt like reading an Indian version of an Agatha Christie novel. I would surely go back to reading this book once again sometime later. It has struck a chord with me!
