A page turning book, that didn’t get put down. Emilie Rose did a fantastic joy writing Secrets Of The Tycoon’s Bride. Lauryn was a really strong character that didn’t take any garbage and didn’t pull any punches either. I loved that she easily pointed out the chauvinistic attitude her husband, Adam, has that it even caused him to pause in his “speech”. And of course Rose had her witty one liners in there as well.

Enjoyed this very much! The heroine was a little bit of a departure for the Desire heroines I’ve read recently, and I really appreciated that. Also, how could you go wrong with a Miami setting? Too much fun!

There is a series of books about the wealthy Garrison family. This book is about Adam Garrison, the third son. His two older brothers give him no respect at all and he is trying to win their respect and more influence in the Garrison business. In order to do so, he thinks he needs the perfect wife. He choose Lauryn Lowes who already worked for him. She was a very quit beautiful woman. She refused him at first because the marriage proposal had come out of the blue, they weren’t even friends. She finally consented for reasons of her own. She had a past that she needeed closure on and by marrying him, she thought that she could find that closure. Unfortunately she didn’t tell him about her reson for marrying him. Even though he had a secret reason for marrying her when he found out that she also had a secret reason for marrying him, he became very upset. Come to find out, he didn’t need his family business to make his brother’s respect him. Everything worked out for the best even if it wasn’t the way he thought it should be
