Lighting McQeen is the flashy rookie race car who is determined to win the big race.Only two things stand in his way- the regning champion , the king, and the cheating Chik Hicks.All three are fast , but which one is fast enough to win the piston Cup?

About The Author

Katherine Emmons has been writing since she was a child. She began writing her own fantasy after reading everything available in her middle school library about three times, including titles from C.S. Lewis, Lloyd Alexander, J. R. R. Tolkien, and E. Nesbit. Her fantasy reading and writing was accompanied by much classroom daydreaming. Dreaming about castles inspired her to go live in Europe at age 16, where she attended a German high school and indeed visited many castles.Back in the USA, Katherine finally learned how to be a good high school student (sit up front and pay attention!), and eventually earned a PhD in Education.
