About The Author

Devika Rangachari is an award winning children’s writer who is also pursuing her post – doctoral research in Indian history from the University of Delhi.Devika is extremely fond of historical fiction and is usually wandering somewhere in the past. She reads more than she writes until friendly – yet – stern editors feed her copious quantities of Chocolate and tell her to get started. At this point, her nephew and niece chivvy her into being focused – the one by counting aloud the number of words and the other, by pouncing on stray grammatical errors. Once the book is done, Devika floats gently back into the world of history.
