First problem is the nightmares she has had since childhood, the same ones where she hears screams, where she sees blood. The other problem is they are childless, despite all efforts, and she’s craving for one. And one fine day, her life takes an unexpected twist… While working at the hospital, Neha sees a patient, Susan. Neha has the feeling that she has seen this woman somewhere, a sense of Déjà vu. And Susan too keeps staring at her, as if she too reciprocates the same feeling. From that day, suddenly the frequency of her nightmares increases. The hazel brown eyes of Susan start haunting her. Neha goes to the hospital to find out who Susan is…only to find her absconding. And thus begins Neha’s cross country hunt to find Susan and to find out who she really is. And during this hunt, she realizes that Susan too is following her. Who is Susan? Why does she seem familiar? What is her connection to Neha’s nightmares? Why is she following her? Will hypnotic age regression, as suggested by psychiatrist Dr.Ram, help her? As Neha comes closer to finding who Susan really is, she thinks the problem of her nightmares is going to end. What she doesn’t know is that she is close to unraveling a horrific secret burried in the past…

The Missing Connection Book by Ketaki Nirkhi the span has widened. And, it has widened to an extent of medical psychological thriller. And, the debutant Ketaki Patwardhan Nirkhi with her The Missing Connection has started off with a thriller – unique in its way.The author has been careful in unraveling the mystery in folds. Though in the mid, the cross-country hunt seemed a bit laid-off, the thrill never went dull. The characterization of Neha was well-sketched. But, there has been a tad injustice to Susan – the girl with hazel brown eyes. The character was over-mystified. Given, she was the main mystery – and the plot was based on her mystic only, the evolution was necessary in the later part. Though in course, as the book demanded – slow unfolding of the character – but the mental trauma the character underwent was never felt. The diary – though used as a catalyst in this process was not sufficient enough for the purpose. The writing style is decent. The book was carried off in the style of a thriller movie. It can be well-depicted in a movie for sure. But the verbal medium demands more detail. And, the detailing was missing – that apprehended the evolution of the character in the book.

A very good attempt and very well crafted story but the drawback is the editing and layout – not so proper editing, line spacing problem, incomplete sentences and words .. that ate up the last star for this book .. Story wise its brilliant .. i’m happy that i bought this book .. kudos to Nikhil for the tempting cover pic and Ketaki for the tempting name – if it had been not any of these i wouldn’t have bought this book .. A recommendation for all the hopeless people in life like me and some of my friends .. its has a very good moral and helps us gain our hopes back in life .. i agree with Ammu its a book that wont let you to leave it until you complete it in one go .. even i completed it in one go 🙂 .. i would have loved if it had proper editing and layout .. 😀 Waiting for Ketaki’s next penning 🙂

With a perfect life at Mumbai, meet Dr. Neha Dixit as her life unfolds. Dr. Neha Dixit is married to her loving husband, Dr. Ashutosh. Her life is almost undisturbed till she meets her new patient, Susan. Haunted by her nightmares of childhood, Neha must now connect all the dots. When everyone has their own assumptions about her nightmares, only Susan and Neha can unfold the mystery. The sense of her déjà vu about Susan and her nightmares of screams and blood were sure to be connected. It’s not just the nightmares; there is something more, something long lost in her life. The hazel brown eyes of Susan help Neha to find the harsh truths of her life. The plot is definitely appealing and hooks the reader till the end. The characters speak for themselves and the story is quite intriguing. Will hypnotic age regression, as suggested by psychiatrist Dr.Ram, help her? Why is Susan following her? What were her nightmares about? The connection between her nightmares and Susan is well positioned and written. The picturesque descriptions of the characters are well portrayed. The elements of the story are weaved carefully to bring out the impact.
