    Amazing Read

The plot was easy to follow, but you can see the tiny subplots branching their way into new books. It was so obvious how the Shadowhunter Codex and the Bane Chronicles were indirectly mentioned here.
Subplots were branching out. Most of them were ended pretty well in this book. There were certain cliffhangers, especially with regards to Emma and Julian and the others. They already have their own book.

The Shadowhunter world Cassandra Clare made is one of the best. You would fall in love with this world, its rules, its magic, its lore; everything about it will make you want to read more.

The characters were one of this book’s greatest strengths. The development of the plot wasn’t forced. It felt natural. The flow of the story was very similar to the earlier books, so despite it being a bit predictable, you still love it because its so well done. The introduction of Emma and Julian was done so well. Sebastian- He was such an amazing villain. He wasn’t a cardboard cut-out villain. You get his motivations and his actions, because Clare showed you who he is, and why he was doing the things he is doing. A villain who is just evil, because he wants to be evil, would never be an effective villain. People do the things they do for a reason; they could never be just evil because they were born that way.
