Amy & Louis (Short Story)
by Libby Gleeson
Description:
Amy and Louis live next door to each other, and their lives are closely intertwined. Theirs is a life rich in imagination, they see dragons in the clouds and make castles out of cardboard boxes. But when Amy’s family moves to another country, the children are separated and the colour drains out of their lives… until Louis discovers how to rebuild their special bond. This is a loving, moving, goose-bumping tale of deep friendship. Libby Gleeson’s spare, evocative text is enhanced by illustrations of rare sensitivity and insight that strikes directly at the heart.

About The Author
“I was born in Young, a small town in south western NSW in 1950. After a few years we moved to Glen Innes, on the northern tablelands and then when I was ten we moved out west to Dubbo. We moved because my father was a schoolteacher and each change meant a promotion for him.
