About The Author

Thelma Lynne Godin grew up in a small town with a funny name. Sault Ste. Marie is in upper Michigan on the Canadian border. Sault is pronounced Soo and rhymes with zoo. Many people don’t even try to pronounce this French name. When she grew up and got married to her wonderful husband, they moved to Wisconsin. She has two sons that she adore, four grandchildren who are the light of her life, and a cat named Sofia, who likes everything she write. While her sons were growing up she got her degree in social work and worked as a social worker and as a school librarian. In June of 2015 her husband and she moved back to Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. They now live on the shores of Lake Superior. Writing poems and making up stories has always been one of her favorite things to do, but it wasn’t until her own children were grown that she was able to follow her dream and become a children’s author.
